Grounds care — the Peninsula

Finished should stay finished.

Beds weeded and edged, hedges shaped, mulch topped up, debris gone — the upkeep that keeps a property looking the way it did the day the work was done.

The same bed, after one visit

One visit. Back in shape.

Weeds and exposed fabric out, the rock levelled, the curb line brought back. One-time reset or a simple seasonal schedule — no lock-in contracts.

What we look after

Everything between the fence lines.

We build fences and decks — and grounds care is how the rest of the property keeps up with them. Every visit runs to an agreed scope, and everything we cut, pull or rake leaves with us.

Garden-Bed Care

Weeding, deadheading, edge touch-ups and debris removal — the routine work that decides whether beds look kept or abandoned by mid-summer.

Mulch & Rock Top-Ups

Thinning bark topped up and faded rock refreshed before beds start looking tired. For a full reset, see mulch installation.

Hedge & Shrub Shaping

Light shaping and pruning within safe reach on grounds visits — and full hedge trimming & topiary when a hedge needs the real treatment.

Leaf & Debris Removal

Leaves, windfall and garden debris cleared from beds, lawns and hard surfaces — bagged, loaded and hauled away, not left at the curb.

Seasonal Resets

Spring and fall are when grounds are won or lost. Our seasonal yard cleanups reset the whole property in one visit.

Around the Build

New fence or deck from us? Grounds care keeps the beds and lines around it sharp — so the whole frontage reads finished, not just the carpentry.

One-time or scheduled

A reset, or a rhythm.

Both are real options — we quote them the same way, as a fixed written price for an agreed scope.

How grounds care is scoped
One-time resetA single visit that brings the property back — beds weeded and edged, hedges tidied within scope, debris hauled away. Popular before listings, events, or after a season of neglect.
Seasonal scheduleA simple rhythm of visits through the growing season — typically every four to eight weeks, with heavier spring and fall resets. No lock-in contracts; the schedule serves the garden, not the invoice.
What a visit leaves behindClean edges, weeded beds, tidy shrubs, clear surfaces — and nothing else. Clippings, weeds and debris leave with us on every visit.
What we do not doTree work beyond safe reach, irrigation and hardscape construction, or spraying programs. When a property needs an arborist or an irrigation tech, we say so instead of improvising.
How it works

Four steps, one fixed price.

No hourly rate, no surprises — the same process as our fences, applied to the grounds.

01

Walk the property

We look at every bed, hedge and edge together and agree what "kept" should look like for your property — usually within one business day of your request.

02

Fixed written quote

One clear written price for the visit or the season. No hourly rate, no scope creep, no pressure to decide on the spot.

03

The visit

Beds weeded, edges cut, shrubs tidied, debris cleared — worked to the agreed scope and finished clean, with everything hauled away.

04

Keep it, or not

Happy with a one-off? Done. Want it kept this way? We set the seasonal rhythm and you never think about it again.

Where we work

The Peninsula, and only the Peninsula.

Staying local is how we keep quality high and scheduling tight. Ironwood Grounds keeps properties across the Peninsula — South Surrey, White Rock, Ocean Park, Morgan Creek, Tsawwassen, Ladner and the wider Delta area.

Questions, answered

The details, before you ask.

What does a grounds care visit include?

The scope is agreed in your written quote, but a typical visit covers bed weeding, edge touch-ups, light pruning within safe reach, deadheading and debris removal — and everything we cut or pull leaves with us. Mulch top-ups and hedge shaping are scoped in when the beds or hedges need them.

Do I have to sign up for a schedule?

No. Book a single visit to reset the property, or a simple seasonal schedule if you want it kept that way. There are no lock-in contracts — the schedule exists for the garden's benefit, not ours.

How often should garden beds be maintained?

For most Peninsula properties, a visit every four to eight weeks through the growing season keeps beds genuinely tidy, with spring and fall resets doing the heavy lifting. We recommend a rhythm based on your planting — not a one-size-fits-all package.

Do you haul away the waste?

Yes. Weeds, clippings, leaves and debris leave with us on every visit. We do not leave bags at your curb.

Is there anything you do not do?

We stay within safe, honest scope: no tree work beyond safe reach, no irrigation or hardscape construction, and no spraying programs. If your property needs an arborist or an irrigation tech, we say so rather than improvise.

Which areas do you serve?

The Peninsula communities of Metro Vancouver: South Surrey, White Rock, Ocean Park, Morgan Creek, Tsawwassen, Ladner and the wider Delta area.
